Satopanth Glacier

Satopanth is a Glacier which is situated in Uttarakhand state of India at Indo-Tibet Border. Satopanth word is made with two Sanskrit words Sat-o means 'The Truth' and Panth means 'The Path or Way' which literally means "The Path or Way of Truth". Satopanth Glacier is one of the most popular glaciers found in Uttarakhand. The Alaknanda river also originates from here, which makes it spiritual and special too.

Satopanth Lake

Satopanth Lake is a religious lake situated at an elevation of 4402 meters (14,500 fts.) above the sea level. The lake is as beautiful as a shining star, because of its crystal-clear water. The surroundings of the lake give it a charismatic view which is going to take your breath away. To visit Satopanth Tal you will have to get permit from the forest department of Joshimath.

The Snow-covered mountain peaks and the clear sky tells a different story. Satopanth Lake is in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand, India. Satopanth Lake is triangle in shape, all three corners are dedicated to Tridev Brahma, Vishnu & Mahesh.

It has its own importance in terms of spirituality. Here locals do bone immersion of their loved ones and it is believed that after this process their soul will rest in peace and will get free from the endless cycle of transmigration into a state of bliss (मोक्ष).The lake is also known as 'the lake of Divinity'

Satopanth Lake Trek is also known as Satopanth Swargarohini Yatra (सतोपंथ स्वर्गारोहिणी यात्रा) and it is called “The First Spiritual Trek of the World”. Overview Satopanth Lake Trek

Satopanth Lake Trek is still untouched and known as one of the virgin destinations of Uttarakhand Mountains. The place is 22 km from Badrinath Dham. Though the trek is just 22 kilometers away from Badrinath Dham but still it is quite peaceful and hidden from individual's eyes.

The journey starts from Haridwar and after a long journey of 321 kilometers you reach Badrinath Dham on the first day of your Satopanth Tal Trek Journey.



Early Morning Departure from Haridwar at 5:30AM, after half an hour you'll reach Rishikesh at 6:00AM. Moving Forward after one an hour we'll have breakfast at Byasi at 7:00AM. And around 8:45AM you'll reach Devprayag which is famous for confluence of River Alaknanda & River Mandakini.

We aren't going charge additional for it.

Conveyance is Included in the Package!

The conveyance is included into the package.

But, from Haridwar to Haridwar only. There is also a term, if you need to special conveyance than we can arrange it for you, but the charges would be additional.

Porters & Mules for Personal are Included in the Package!

Though Porters & Mules for Personal are not included in the package.

But, in case if you need the service we can arrange it for you, the charges would be additional.

Mineral Water is not Included!

As the water in the Himalayas is already pure and natural.

So, the mineral water isn't required.

Travel Insurance is very important for any traveler before travelling.

But, as the process is quite lengthy, we do not provide you 'Travel Insurance'. You will have to get it yourself.

First Aid Medical Kit is Included!

The medcial emergency never comes with an alarm so you will have to be ready for any type of emergency situation.

So, First aid medical kit is included for our clients.

Oxygen Gas Cylinder is Included!

While travelling to high altitude areas you may need additional oxygen.

To, overcome this problem we always keep oxygen gas cylinders for our customers.


The following is the list of things to carry for Valley of flowers trek, that we recommend you take, and is a guideline of what to bring. You are responsible for having the necessary personal equipment you need for this trek.

  • Two pairs of lightweight trousers or pants, one for trekking and one to wear at night.

  • One pair of shorts.

  • Two light weight fleeces or wool jumpers.

  • A woolen hat to wear in the mornings and evenings.

  • A light weight umbrella or Poncho

  • Sunglasses

  • A pair of gloves. (optional)

  • A camera (Optional)

  • A note book and/or writing paper and pen

  • Duffel bag or large rucksack to carry to gear while trekking. We recommend you use something strong and sturdy.

  • Daypack: This is a small rucksack to carry the gear you will need while trekking. Camera, spare jacket, waterproof jacket, water bottle, pack lunch etc.

  • Water bottle

  • Small towel

  • Toiletries, N.B as little as possible, if you are traveling with friends try to share toiletries

  • Small torch with spare batteries.

  • Walking boots / trekking shoes

  • Medicines like muscle relaxant, some antibiotics, one crape bandage, if you are prone to vomiting then some medicine for that
